About the Role
NUHS@Home is building a new home-hospital care service in Singapore, and this position supports that mission by keeping clinical visits running smoothly. As a Driver, you will help transport healthcare staff between patient homes and the organisation’s headquarters, while contributing to safe, punctual, and well-coordinated service delivery.
What You Will Do
- Transport clinicians and other healthcare staff safely between patients’ homes and HQ.
- Make sure pickups and drop-offs happen on time.
- Choose efficient routes and adjust plans when schedules change.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and flag any defects without delay.
- Help load and unload medical equipment as needed.
- Track consumable items and keep basic inventory updated.
- Maintain accurate driving records and report any incidents immediately.
- Handle unexpected situations and emergencies in a calm, appropriate manner.
- Stay familiar with alternative routes to support timely travel.
- Follow road rules, safety standards, and organisational policies at all times.
- Represent the organisation professionally and protect confidentiality.
- Work closely with the medical team and fleet coordinator.
Requirements
- GCE O-Level qualification or higher, together with a valid Class 3 driving licence or an equivalent licence.
- At least 3 years of professional driving experience, ideally in healthcare support, fleet operations, or transport services.
- Prior experience moving people and/or medical equipment in a schedule-driven setting will be an advantage.
- Comfortable using GPS and route-planning tools to navigate efficiently.
- Strong driving ability with solid understanding of road safety and traffic regulations.
- Clean safety record with no traffic violations.
- Good time management and a strong sense of punctuality.
- Ability to respond flexibly to last-minute schedule changes.
- Clear communication skills for coordination with clinicians and operations staff.
- Basic vehicle troubleshooting knowledge, such as checking tyre pressure, battery condition, and warning lights.
- Professional, patient, and customer-focused approach.
