As a Driver, you will help transport healthcare staff between patient homes and the organisation’s headquarters, while contributing to safe, punctual, and well-coordinated service delivery.

What You Will Do

  • Transport clinicians and other healthcare staff safely between patients’ homes and HQ.
  • Make sure pickups and drop-offs happen on time.
  • Choose efficient routes and adjust plans when schedules change.
  • Carry out daily vehicle inspections and flag any defects without delay.
  • Help load and unload medical equipment as needed.
  • Track consumable items and keep basic inventory updated.
  • Maintain accurate driving records and report any incidents immediately.
  • Handle unexpected situations and emergencies in a calm, appropriate manner.
  • Stay familiar with alternative routes to support timely travel.
  • Follow road rules, safety standards, and organisational policies at all times.
  • Represent the organisation professionally and protect confidentiality.
  • Work closely with the medical team and fleet coordinator.

Requirements

  • GCE O-Level qualification or higher, together with a valid Class 3 driving licence or an equivalent licence.
  • At least 3 years of professional driving experience, ideally in healthcare support, fleet operations, or transport services.
  • Prior experience moving people and/or medical equipment in a schedule-driven setting will be an advantage.
  • Comfortable using GPS and route-planning tools to navigate efficiently.
  • Strong driving ability with solid understanding of road safety and traffic regulations.
  • Clean safety record with no traffic violations.
  • Good time management and a strong sense of punctuality.
  • Ability to respond flexibly to last-minute schedule changes.
  • Clear communication skills for coordination with clinicians and operations staff.
  • Basic vehicle troubleshooting knowledge, such as checking tyre pressure, battery condition, and warning lights.
  • Professional, patient, and customer-focused approach.

Additional Information

This role is part of a healthcare delivery team that values reliability, discretion, and teamwork. You will play an important role in supporting staff well-being, operational efficiency, and positive patient experiences through dependable transport services.
