Job description
About the role
Mitre 10 Cromwell is seeking a dependable full-time team member to join its Drive-Thru department. This position involves supporting both Trade and DIY customers by providing practical help, product knowledge, and service-oriented advice that helps customers get the right solution for the job.
The role is permanent, operates Tuesday to Saturday, and is rostered for 37.5 hours each week.
What you'll do
You will work in the yard and drive-thru area, assisting customers directly and helping with the picking, loading, delivery, and collection of customer orders. The role requires a hands-on approach and close support of the Trade Team in a busy outdoor environment.
What we're looking for
We are after a hardworking, reliable person who is comfortable getting stuck in and contributing to a team. You should enjoy customer interaction, be willing to learn, and be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
A full, current, clean driver’s licence is required. A forklift licence with “F” endorsement would be an advantage, although it is not essential. Prior experience in timber or building supplies would also be beneficial.
Skills and attributes
The right person will bring strong customer service skills, good communication, solid numerical ability, a careful eye for detail, and a strong commitment to health and safety. Because the work involves manual heavy lifting, physical fitness is important.
Additional information
Mitre 10 is looking to continue growing its team with people who bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and values that align with the business. Previous experience may help, but success in this role will come from the right mindset and personal qualities.
Application process
Interested candidates should submit a CV and cover letter through the application process provided. Applications are being assessed as they are received.
Working hours
Permanent full-time role, Tuesday to Saturday, 37.5 hours per week.
Licence requirements
A full current clean driver’s licence is mandatory. An “F” endorsed forklift licence is desirable but not required.
Physical requirements
This position includes manual heavy lifting and requires a good level of physical fitness.
