Role overview
The House Services team at Launceston General Hospital is focused on delivering high-quality cleaning services while supporting a workplace that values diversity, safety, respect, and strong team culture.
What the role involves
- Provide practical, hands-on training to staff, including demonstrations of correct cleaning methods and safe work practices.
- Ensure training and day-to-day work align with WHS requirements and infection control procedures.
- Use computer systems confidently to support mandatory training processes, create training resources, and help maintain procedures.
- Apply careful attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills in daily work.
Appointment details
This is a permanent full-time day shift position, based on 76 hours per fortnight. The role is expected to begin as soon as possible, and working hours may be negotiated with the selected applicant.
Please note that this recruitment process may also be used within 12 months of the publication date to fill future similar vacancies, including full-time, part-time, and casual positions.
Salary and packaging
The annual salary is between $76,849 and $82,996, with an employer superannuation contribution of 12% in addition to the base salary. The salary amount is in line with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.
Eligible employees may also access salary packaging benefits, including living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 each FBT year, plus other eligible benefits.
