About the Role

Park Recruit is collaborating with a top-tier specialist in the data centre construction industry to find an experienced Document Controller for a significant project based in Blyth, UK. This is a prime chance to be part of a reputable contractor known for delivering large-scale, technically demanding projects across Europe. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing project documentation meticulously throughout the construction life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain document control systems, procedures, and processes throughout the project's duration.
  • Ensure precise recording, distribution, filing, and easy accessibility of all project documents.
  • Manage the issuance and revision of drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate document flow among project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date document registers, trackers, and logs.
  • Perform quality checks to verify documentation compliance with company standards.
  • Manage document version control to guarantee stakeholders access the latest versions.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) by managing controlled and traceable documentation.
  • Generate document control reports and track pending documentation.
  • Ensure secure storage, archiving, and retrieval of project records.
  • Participate in project meetings as needed to facilitate document management activities.
  • Identify and escalate document control concerns when necessary.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess 2 to 4 years of experience as a Document Controller within the construction or engineering sectors.
  • Experience supporting active construction projects is essential.
  • Previous involvement in data centre, industrial, or other critical mission projects is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with document management platforms such as Aconex, Procore, Viewpoint, or similar tools.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and coordination aptitudes.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting project deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • A qualification in Business Administration, Information Management, or related fields is preferred.
