About the Role

MedSpeed is hiring a full-time Dispatcher to join our team in Hammond, IN. This position involves coordinating healthcare logistics to support the delivery of medical supplies, specimens, and materials. The shift is Monday to Friday from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM and requires availability during holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and route assigned customer orders ensuring compliance with company guidelines and performance benchmarks.
  • Develop efficient delivery routes using routing technology combined with local knowledge to prioritize transports effectively.
  • Answer general inquiries regarding MedSpeed's service procedures and resolve issues relating to orders through effective communication.
  • Accurately log, track, and document issues using online systems aligned with company policies.
  • Provide a high-quality customer experience demonstrated by positive feedback and quality evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the market management team to address day-to-day routing and dispatch needs as well as contribute to process improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies, procedures, and client-specific requirements.
  • Advocate and promote the MedSpeed culture in all aspects of work.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum education of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Experience working in fast-paced settings is preferred.
  • Strong customer service abilities including empathy, active listening, courtesy, and helpfulness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Effective time management and multitasking capabilities.
