Role Overview
The position of Dispatch Rider at APxpress Logistics is a full-time, on-location role based in Nigeria. The role involves collecting and delivering parcels according to designated routes and schedules, ensuring all items are securely and safely managed. Key responsibilities include verifying delivery information, maintaining constant communication with the dispatch center, and obtaining proof of delivery when necessary. The rider is also tasked with maintaining the delivery vehicle in proper condition, reporting any incidents or delivery delays, and representing the company professionally to customers. Compliance with road laws, company safety guidelines, and delivery protocols is mandatory to guarantee timely and precise service.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Proficiency in navigating roads and planning routes with a solid understanding of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities to manage multiple deliveries and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills for client and dispatch team interactions.
- Basic record-keeping aptitude to document deliveries, financial transactions, and item receipt.
- Possession of a valid motorcycle or relevant vehicle license with a clean driving history.
- Previous experience as a dispatch rider or within logistics/delivery is advantageous.
- Competence in reading maps or utilizing GPS technology and following delivery instructions precisely.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors for prolonged periods in diverse weather conditions.
- Dependability, a focus on safety, and the ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
