Role Overview

The position of Dispatch Rider is a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos State, Nigeria. The primary duty is to collect and deliver packages, documents, and small items to clients, partners, and internal teams along assigned routes. Daily responsibilities include planning delivery routes, verifying addresses and contact information, ensuring punctual and safe deliveries, and maintaining precise records of all pickups and drop-offs.

The role also involves inspecting and caring for the motorcycle to ensure optimal working condition, complying with traffic laws and company safety protocols, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout each delivery. Additional tasks may include assisting with basic errands, promptly reporting delivery problems to supervisors, and adhering to company procedures for cash-on-delivery or proof-of-delivery when necessary.

Qualifications

• Strong awareness of road safety and familiarity with Lagos routes, with the ability to effectively use GPS or maps.
• Excellent time management, planning, and organizational capabilities to manage multiple deliveries and meet deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and professional customer interaction abilities.
• Basic record-keeping aptitude for documenting deliveries, handling receipts, and reporting daily activities accurately.
• Possession of a valid motorcycle riding license with proven riding experience, ideally in dispatch or courier services.
• Capability to safely lift and carry small to medium packages, adhering to safety and traffic regulations.
• Trustworthiness, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility when managing items and confidential documents.
• Minimum educational qualification of secondary school (high school); prior experience as a dispatch rider or delivery worker is beneficial.
