About the Role

Located at Imjin Barracks, Gloucester, the HQ Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) operates within the Land Forces Army structure under the Ministry of Defence. ARRC offers NATO a versatile, quickly deployable headquarters capable of functioning as Joint, Land, or Corps HQ during operations and crisis responses. It is distinguished by its multinational environment, cultural diversity, innovative approach, strong NATO reputation, and award-winning interoperability among High Readiness Force (Land) units. This role is full-time, requiring 37 hours per week on site.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise selected aspects of ARRC’s Service Law, Warning & Sanction, and Service Complaints casework to ensure fairness and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Army policies.
  • Provide expert guidance and direction regarding discipline casework aligned with current policy.
  • Oversee progression and administration of internal discipline cases within HQ ARRC, coordinating with Service Police, civilian police, and other relevant bodies, including updating IT systems accordingly.
  • Ensure discipline casework adheres to the Army Personal Services Group Assurance Framework standards.
  • Prepare documentation related to Service Law and Warning & Sanction cases for ARRC personnel.
  • Act as secretary during discipline interviews when necessary.
  • Deliver training sessions and briefings on disciplinary matters to units and Brigade staff to address any identified training needs.
  • Handle ARRC Service Complaints, ensuring investigations are conducted and completed within policy timelines.
  • Maintain and manage disciplinary statistics, including those related to Compulsory Drug Testing and discharges.
  • Prepare bespoke Powers Certificates in compliance with established policy.

Employment Terms and Benefits

The position offers a salary of £37,720 per year plus a contribution of £10,927 from the Ministry of Defence towards the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension Scheme. While remote work is encouraged as part of Smarter Working practices, attendance in the office is expected at least 60% of the time (approximately three days per week), especially for new employees. Additional Information and Conditions

  • New external civil service recruits undergo a six-month probation period.
  • Travel expenses for interviews are not reimbursed.
