Role Overview
The Director, Talent Acquisition Innovation plays a pivotal role in modernizing and strategically transforming the talent acquisition function. This position drives initiatives such as process redesign, technology integration, workforce planning, and skills development to create an efficient, scalable, data-centric, and client-focused recruiting model. Collaboration with HR leadership, business stakeholders, and talent acquisition teams ensures the organization attracts world-class talent aligned with BMS's patient-driven mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a multi-year roadmap for Talent Acquisition transformation, focusing on process improvements, evolving operating models, and adopting advanced technologies.
- Identify and prioritize actions to enhance recruiter performance, improve candidate experience, strengthen hiring manager collaboration, reduce time-to-fill, and boost Net Promoter Scores across various talent categories.
- Ensure alignment between Talent Acquisition initiatives and the broader enterprise HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational goals.
- Develop and execute change management and communication strategies to facilitate the successful adoption of new tools, processes, and practices.
- Oversee governance of the Talent Acquisition technology ecosystem, including tool consolidation and incorporation of AI-driven enhancements throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Create and maintain Talent Acquisition analytics frameworks in partnership with Analytics, People Science, and People Services groups to define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cycles that deliver actionable insights to leaders.
- Lead teams to standardize and optimize recruiting processes globally, ensuring consistency, compliance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Operations, HR Centers of Excellence, and external vendors to establish an effective delivery model.
- Set and enforce quality standards for interviews, selections, and job offers in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Direct multiple transformation teams fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous enhancement.
- Build organizational capabilities by developing competency frameworks, training programs, and career progression paths for Talent Acquisition professionals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, including at least 4 years in leadership roles focused on transformation, strategy, or operations.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale Talent Acquisition transformation or organizational change initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of recruiting technologies, such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools, and AI sourcing platforms; experience with Workday Recruiting is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Talent Acquisition data and metrics to inform decision-making.
- Capabilities in leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities at the executive level.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in the biopharmaceutical or highly regulated industries, exposure to global or multi-regional recruitment models, HR or project management certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PMP), and familiarity with agile processes and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this full-time role in Princeton, NJ is $176,550 to $213,931 annually. Additional incentives including cash bonuses and stock options may apply depending on eligibility and experience.
