Job description
About the Role
This position is a strategic growth and supply-chain leadership role rather than a traditional sales leadership job. You will act as the main bridge between the executive team, the market, and the operational production side, with ownership across market access, customer relationships, and growth execution.
The role is based in the greater Berlin area in a hybrid setup. You would be joining a rapidly expanding technology scale-up of about 70 employees that is backed by Series B funding.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the supply chain can scale by securing a steady, high-volume inflow of raw materials, leading the Sales + Supply team, and creating approaches that lock in maximum volumes through contracts even in complex market conditions.
- Build and lead the commercial organization across Sales, Account Management, and Marketing & Brand Management, while introducing clear structures, processes, and KPIs for a young and ambitious team.
- Own major-project and key-account business by negotiating complex framework and offtake agreements with international key accounts, including manufacturers, project developers, and EPC partners, and by developing innovative operating models.
- Coordinate market and capacity planning closely with production, manage the inbound pipeline, and solve inventory and warehousing challenges through practical measures such as strategic partner networks.
Candidate Profile
You should bring several years of leadership experience in a broad commercial, sales, or supply-chain role. The role calls for strategic thinking for complex negotiations as well as a hands-on approach to daily operations. Ideally, you have already experienced scaling an organization to 100+ employees, for example in a structured mid-sized company or a fast-moving corporate unit. You should know how to create structure without sacrificing flexibility.
Strong industry experience in renewable energy, such as project developers, EPCs, or large-component manufacturers, or in complex B2B infrastructure is important. A proven track record in closing complex framework agreements with long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders is expected.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
You bring a true growth mindset, strong execution ability, excellent communication skills, and an empathetic, modern leadership style suited to a young team. Business-fluent German and English are required, along with willingness to be regularly present at the headquarters and travel across Europe.
