About the Role
Qiddiya Investment Company is spearheading a world-class entertainment, sports, and cultural development in Saudi Arabia aligned with Vision 2030. To achieve these ambitious objectives, a robust and transparent supplier relationship management (SRM) system within the transport sector is vital. This leadership role entails managing supplier engagements, assessing risks, and fostering strategic partnerships supporting projects valued over 30 billion SAR.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee a structured SRM framework incorporating supplier segmentation, governance, and executive-level supervision.
- Conduct proactive engagement with the market, such as organizing an annual Industry Briefing to share procurement pipeline insights and governance standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Central Procurement team to maintain alignment, improve transparency, and streamline efforts.
- Implement and manage supplier performance metrics across significant contracts.
- Lead quarterly meetings at the executive level for performance evaluations with key suppliers.
- Recognize and handle strategic supply chain risks including capacity issues, financial stability, long lead times, and supplier concentration.
- Work jointly with Procurement, Commercial, Risk, and Project Controls teams to integrate supplier data into procurement plans and risk assessments.
- Promote continuous improvements via lessons-learned sessions, innovation workshops, and performance enhancement plans.
- Provide market intelligence that aids sourcing strategies and procurement scheduling for long-lead items.
- Support early dispute resolution through structured supplier interactions.
- Create executive dashboards highlighting performance trends and systemic risks in the supplier base.
Leadership and Stakeholder Interaction
- Serve as the key executive liaison between the transport business unit and strategic suppliers.
- Partner with Project Directors and Procurement leaders on major project deliveries.
- Participate in industry groups and supply chain networks to boost the unit's market reputation.
- Deliver structured reports to the Executive Director and senior leadership.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, Business, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years’ expertise in supplier relationship management, commercial leadership, or extensive procurement environments.
- Proven history of managing strategic supplier portfolios within large infrastructure initiatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement governance and contract performance monitoring.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and industry leaders effectively.
- Experience in organizing structured industry engagement programs.
