Position Overview
The Director, Social Media & Community Management at Naturium will define and execute the global social presence and community engagement strategy, spanning the U.S., U.K., and E.U. This leadership role requires shaping Naturium’s voice, driving consumer relationships, and developing an engaged skincare community characterized by education, trust, and cultural awareness. The role demands overseeing platform strategy, content creation, and community interaction to enhance both brand equity and measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead comprehensive global social media strategies tailored to platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.
- Create platform-specific approaches aligned with audience preferences, algorithms, and brand goals to stimulate growth and engagement.
- Stay ahead of platform changes and cultural trends to maintain Naturium’s social relevance.
- Collaborate with Brand and Growth teams to support product launches and commercial priorities.
- Design and implement a global community engagement framework consistent with Naturium’s tone, ensuring exceptional interaction standards on comments, DMs, and other social conversations.
- Encourage meaningful two-way dialogue that builds brand loyalty and consumer trust.
- Monitor social channels to gauge audience sentiment, emerging trends, and competitor activity, translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Coordinate with Customer Experience and Corporate Communications on handling escalations and high-volume inquiries.
- Establish scalable engagement and moderation processes across international markets.
- Promote authentic user-generated content and nurture relationships with brand advocates and creators through proactive and community-centric interactions.
- Manage community-driven seeding and mailer initiatives to boost organic advocacy.
- Identify and engage potential creators and influencers aligned with Naturium’s educational skincare messaging.
- Lead content strategy balancing trend-responsive and educational storytelling to uphold skincare authority and cultural relevance.
- Guide creative development with internal teams, ensuring consistent brand voice across all social touchpoints.
- Develop and track KPIs related to engagement, community health, growth, and business impact, leveraging analytics and qualitative data for continuous improvement.
- Implement a comprehensive education-first community approach focusing on ingredient literacy, skincare routines, myth debunking, and clinical insights.
- Ensure community responses maintain compliance, accuracy, and brand integrity standards.
- Partner cross-functionally with various teams to embed community insights into wider brand and business strategies, serving as a digital culture and community expert within the company.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years of leadership experience in social media and community management, preferably within beauty or consumer brands.
- Demonstrated expertise in growing engaged brand communities.
- Deep familiarity with internet culture, social platform dynamics, and consumer engagement behaviors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and working across departments.
- Ability to blend creative intuition with analytical decision-making.
- Passion for skincare, community-led storytelling, and education-driven branding.
- Adaptability and decisive action-taking in dynamic environments.
Compensation and Benefits
The total remuneration package includes a base salary, company performance-based bonuses (up to 200% of target), equity participation, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, retirement plans, gender-neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off.
