Job description
About BridgehouseLaw LLP
BridgehouseLaw LLP is a globally active law firm based in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, with offices across the United States, Germany, Canada, and Latin America. We empower entrepreneurs, investors, and multinational corporations to thrive across international borders through legal expertise, strategic advice, and a worldwide network of independent law firms.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the Office of the Chairman as the Director of Executive Operations. This role involves working directly with Chairman Reinhard von Hennigs—an internationally recognized attorney, entrepreneur, author, and speaker—to facilitate executive leadership, business expansion, and strategic projects mainly in North America and Europe. This is a leadership position intended for someone driven to build and innovate rather than simply provide administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a dynamic and evolving executive calendar and prioritize scheduling challenges.
- Arrange domestic and international travel logistics.
- Develop executive briefings, reports, presentations, and prepare materials for meetings.
- Compose executive correspondence and manage sensitive communications with confidentiality.
- Ensure all priorities and commitments are followed up and completed on schedule.
- Assist client development and nurture referral partnerships.
- Organize networking sessions, conferences, and manage follow-up tasks.
- Monitor opportunities and maintain relationship contact points.
- Support the preparation and delivery of business development presentations and proposals.
- Coordinate communication with international law firms, alliance members, and related business partners.
- Facilitate cross-border projects and leadership meetings, including conference planning and managing special initiatives.
- Support executive events, speaking engagements, podcasts, publications, seminars, and thought leadership activities.
- Create organizational systems in a fluid and rapid environment, anticipating challenges before they arise.
- Handle all confidential matters discreetly while maintaining operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Proactive and accountable with the ability to anticipate upcoming needs.
- Forward-thinking and capable of autonomous work.
- Exemplifies strong judgment and clear professional communication.
- Enjoys problem-solving and maintains high organization without stress.
- Builds trust through dependability and discretion.
- Takes initiative independently to drive actions forward.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is highly beneficial.
- Several years of experience supporting senior executives, founders, partners, or C-suite leaders.
- Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced in managing executive calendars, travel arrangements, and priority shifts.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office 365 and contemporary business technologies.
- Preferred experience in law firms, consulting, finance, or international business sectors.
- Business development experience and familiarity with CRM and practice management software (e.g., Clio) are valued.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience plus performance-related bonuses.
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage with 99% of base medical insurance premium paid by the firm.
- Unlimited paid time off policy valuing outcomes over presence.
- 401(k) retirement plan including guaranteed Safe Harbor employer contribution.
- Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
- Exposure to executive management, international strategy, and global business operations.
- A stimulating entrepreneurial environment where your contributions are recognized and impactful.
Why This Role Stands Out
This role offers a rare chance to collaborate with a global legal and business leader while engaging in strategic leadership, cross-border initiatives, and international business. It demands versatility, responsibility, and leadership autonomy, providing direct influence on BridgehouseLaw's growth and success.
A Typical Day
Your daily activities could range from organizing the Chairman's international trips to Germany, creating briefing materials for keynote speeches, coordinating leadership meetings, following up with partners, planning client seminars, or assisting with launching strategic projects. If you thrive in dynamic, high-responsibility environments working closely with senior leaders, this opportunity is ideal.
Why You Should Join
We seek an exceptional executive professional who wants to magnify leadership impact, organize complexity, identify opportunities amidst challenges, and contributes significantly to building an internationally connected organization. If you desire a career where your judgment, initiative, and professionalism visibly affect success, this position offers an extraordinary platform.
