Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Talent Management to become a pivotal member of our expanding Talent team. Reporting directly to the VP of Talent Management, this leadership position involves managing a selective group of high-profile creators while mentoring Talent Managers and Senior Talent Managers. The successful candidate will enhance team effectiveness, establish operational best practices, and work collaboratively with cross-functional departments to drive superior outcomes for creators and brands alike.

This position supports remote work for candidates outside Los Angeles. For employees based in Los Angeles, a hybrid schedule is required, with three days per week onsite at our Santa Monica office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor Talent Managers and Senior Talent Managers to boost performance through coaching and knowledge exchange.
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture as a trusted leader within the talent management team.
  • Collaborate with the VP to execute team initiatives, adopt best practices, and optimize operational procedures.
  • Manage a strategic portfolio of influential digital creators and influencers.
  • Lead negotiations for multifaceted brand partnerships, licensing agreements, and long-term collaborations to maximize revenue.
  • Design and implement long-range growth strategies aimed at enhancing creator income and career advancement.
  • Forge and cultivate strong relations with brands, agencies, social platforms, and partners in the industry.
  • Discover new talent opportunities and expand Pearpop's creator network.
  • Partner with creators to originate and execute new intellectual property and business projects.
  • Oversee CRM management, forecasting, pipeline reporting, contract processes, payment tracking, and campaign administration.
  • Drive improvements in internal workflows and processes to elevate team efficiency.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Client Services, Operations, Product, Finance, Legal, and Leadership to ensure outstanding creator experiences.
  • Provide market insights and contribute to strategic initiatives enhancing Pearpop Talent's business progress.
  • Maintain foresight on trends in the creator economy, social media platforms, emerging technologies, and brand marketing to keep Pearpop at the forefront.
  • Represent Pearpop Talent as a thought leader through industry events and cultural engagements.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years in talent management, creator representation, influencer marketing, or related fields.
  • Proven track record managing creator portfolios generating over $200,000 per month in gross merchandise value.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience coaching and directing high-performing talent management teams.
  • Extensive expertise managing six- and seven-figure creator businesses and negotiating substantial brand partnerships.
  • Successful history in signing and retaining top-tier creators.
  • Strategic thinker balancing daily operations with long-term growth and business development initiatives.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills focused on closing complex deals and maximizing revenue.
  • Highly organized with robust experience using CRM systems, forecasting, and maintaining operational discipline.
  • Strong passion and deep understanding of the creator economy, social platforms, influencer marketing, and digital culture.
