Role Overview
This critical leadership position is focused on scaling and optimizing supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, and inventory functions within a fast-growing consumer products company based in Louisville, KY. Joining a dynamic entrepreneurial team, you will be responsible for driving operational strategy and execution to support rapid business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complete supply chain operations including procurement, inventory, warehousing, fulfillment, and logistics.
- Manage partnerships with co-packers, third-party logistics providers, freight companies, and essential suppliers.
- Lead demand planning, inventory forecasting, and production scheduling activities.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, control cost of goods sold reporting, and optimize operational expenses.
- Develop and enhance ERP workflows, automation tools, and system integrations to improve efficiency.
- Create scalable standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes to support growth.
- Recruit, mentor, and guide a high-performing operations team across various functional areas.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align operations with overall business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in operations within CPG, food & beverage, consumer products, or fast-moving manufacturing sectors.
- Expertise in supply chain management, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and fulfillment.
- Familiarity with ERP/WMS platforms such as Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability managing external vendors including co-packers and 3PL providers.
- Strong grasp of inventory accounting principles, cost of goods sold, and operational reporting metrics.
- Proven track record in team development, process implementation, and managing growth.
- Hands-on leadership style with problem-solving skills and a focus on system improvements.
- Experience in beverage manufacturing is highly desirable.
