Director of Supply Chain Operations

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned and result-oriented Director of Supply Chain Operations to oversee the organization's comprehensive supply chain processes and promote operational excellence in areas including planning, inventory control, logistics, order fulfillment, and supplier partnership. Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies aligned with company goals and long-term plans.
• Direct all facets of supply chain operations including demand forecasting, inventory oversight, logistics coordination, warehouse management, fulfillment planning, and liaison with suppliers.
• Set standards, governance policies, and best practices that drive efficiency, consistency, and scalability within supply chain functions.
• Work collaboratively with Procurement, Operations, Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Product, Technology teams, and executive leadership to ensure business and operational priorities are in sync.
• Evaluate operational metrics, inventory data, and logistics performance to uncover opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage capacity planning, resource distribution, inventory optimization, and forecasting to enhance business results.
• Implement process optimization initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance collaboration across teams.
• Track key performance indicators, develop executive-level reports and dashboards, and offer strategic insights.
• Maintain productive partnerships with suppliers and logistics providers to uphold operational excellence.
• Lead and mentor supply chain managers and teams, fostering a culture built on accountability, teamwork, and ongoing learning.
• Oversee budgeting, workforce planning, and long-term strategic priorities within the department.
• Champion the adoption of supply chain technologies, analytic tools, and process enhancements that improve operational transparency and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field is required.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain operations, logistics, procurement, or leadership roles within operations.
• Proven ability to manage comprehensive supply chain operations in complex or multi-site environments.
• Specialized knowledge in demand planning, inventory control, logistics, fulfillment, supplier relations, and operational strategy.
• Experience driving process improvement and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills combined with excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and a data-oriented approach to making operational decisions.
• Experience handling operational budgets, performance indicators, resource management, and business analytics.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, supply chain management platforms, BI tools, and collaboration software.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining operational excellence in a fast-changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related disciplines is preferred.
• Certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, CLTD, CPSM or equivalents are highly desirable.
• Experience in supporting enterprise-level or global supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of Lean principles, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and supply chain analytics.
• Experience managing remote and geographically dispersed operations teams.
