Job description
Role Overview
Msheireb Properties is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Management to lead the full supply chain function end to end. This position oversees procurement, supplier and vendor management, warehousing, inventory control, and logistics, while also holding complete accountability for the department budget, KPIs, and team performance. The role is expected to drive stronger cost efficiency and service quality across the business, and it calls for strong commercial judgment, negotiation ability, and confident leadership of both internal teams and external partners.
Core Responsibilities
- Define the supply chain function’s strategy, targets, budgets, and KPIs so they support divisional and wider organizational goals.
- Create supply chain policies and make sure the required processes and procedures are in place to carry them out effectively.
- Track spending against approved budgets, explain any variances, and keep performance aligned with budget expectations.
- Lead supply chain operations through effective resource use, profitability focus, KPI management, and customer satisfaction improvements.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, vendors, warehouse providers, and clearing agents.
- Work closely with third-party service providers to meet targets related to cost, accuracy, and turnaround time.
- Review contracts with external service providers, detect any non-compliance, and take corrective action where needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and users to understand present and future business needs and identify process improvements.
- Ensure physical stock matches system records, and work with the relevant parties to resolve any discrepancies.
- Oversee the inventory team and stock-taking activities so product availability and stock accuracy are maintained in MP’s storage facilities.
- Supervise timely receipt of goods and support customs clearance whenever required.
- Work with other departments to reduce landed cost through better demand planning and more accurate forecasting.
- Oversee tendering activities, including drafting RFIs and RFP templates, coordinating bidder documentation, receiving bids, conducting commercial evaluation and negotiation, preparing Tender Committee presentations, and communicating award decisions to suppliers.
- Support end users with post-award commercial issue resolution in coordination with Legal Affairs.
- Manage the cost benchmarking process and its performance.
- Make sure project cost schedules match MP benchmarks to deliver the best value for money for services and material purchases.
- Take on additional duties and special projects as needed to support organizational objectives.

Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain management, or a closely related field is required, along with preferred professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or other relevant credentials. Candidates should bring at least 15 years of experience in supply chain management at a managerial level, ideally gained in the GCC region, together with knowledge of local laws, regulations, and the business environment.
