Job description
The Opportunity
Key Pharmaceuticals is expanding and is looking for a Director of Supply Chain to help define and lead the next stage of its growth journey. This newly established enterprise leadership position will be accountable for building a strategic, robust, and scalable end-to-end supply capability across supply chain, warehouse operations, customer service, and facilities management.
As a member of the Key Pharmaceuticals Leadership Team (KPLT), this role will have direct influence on enterprise strategy, commercial outcomes, and long-term value creation. The successful leader will bring an enterprise-wide perspective, using supply, capacity, risk, cost, and customer insights to shape decisions, support growth, improve resilience, and keep the business delivering reliable, compliant, and customer-centered results.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Supply Chain will provide both strategic and operational direction across the full supply network, from suppliers through to customers. The position is responsible not only for day-to-day performance, but also for defining the supply chain strategy, capability, and investment priorities needed for the company’s next growth phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide a high-performing team covering planning, operations, customer service, and facilities.
- Design and implement an enterprise supply chain strategy that supports business expansion, commercial goals, and long-term value creation.
- Take a leading role in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), bringing strong insights on supply, capacity, risk, and scenarios to help executives make informed decisions.
- Work closely with Commercial, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and other teams to balance service levels, cost, inventory, cash, risk, and growth.
- Maintain supply continuity, regulatory adherence, and strong service standards in a regulated setting.
- Strengthen supply chain resilience through scenario analysis, risk mitigation, contingency preparation, and supplier network improvement.
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with key customers, suppliers, logistics partners, and external stakeholders.
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation, data-driven decisions, and productivity across the full value chain.
- Contribute as part of KPLT to broader enterprise priorities, collaborative decision making, and overall organisational performance.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will be a commercially sharp, strategic, and highly influential leader who can operate effectively at both enterprise and operational levels. You should be equally comfortable with executive-level thinking and hands-on execution, with the judgment and stakeholder influence needed to convert strategy into measurable results.
- Substantial senior leadership experience across the full supply chain, ideally within a complex or regulated environment.
- Background in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, FMCG, consumer goods, or another similarly regulated sector.
- Strong capability in IBP/S&OP, enterprise planning, scenario modelling, and cross-functional decision making.
- Proven ability to align supply chain direction with commercial growth, customer outcomes, financial results, and risk management.
- History of delivering transformation, optimisation, and continuous improvement programs.
- Confidence to influence executives, including the CEO, KPLT, Board, and senior cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong commercial, financial, and analytical judgment, with the ability to balance service, cost, cash, risk, and growth.
- Genuine commitment to building strong teams, developing leaders, and encouraging a high-performance culture.
Why Join Us
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future supply chain capability of a growing pharmaceutical company and influence how Key Pharmaceuticals scales into its next phase of growth.
- Join the leadership table as part of KPLT and contribute to enterprise strategy and cross-functional decisions.
- Lead a wide, business-critical portfolio across multiple operational and customer-facing functions.
- Define the supply chain strategy, capability, and operating model needed to support growth, resilience, and long-term value creation.
- Play an important role in enabling commercial outcomes, customer service, compliance, operational excellence, and risk management.
- Develop a best-in-class supply chain capability that supports the company’s ambitions and future performance.
