Role Overview

The Director of Sales - Club will be a vital part of the youtheory sales team, reporting directly to the VP of Sales. This leadership role involves planning and overseeing the achievement of sales volume, distribution, and merchandising goals within Club retail accounts to meet defined financial targets annually, quarterly, and monthly.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver annual financial objectives by leveraging analytic tools to drive profitable sales growth.
• Develop comprehensive national sales and growth strategies specific to Club customers.
• Supervise and support the associate key account manager assigned to Club accounts.
• Manage reporting, promotional contracts, trade spend investments, and monthly expenses related to Club sales.
• Coordinate the monthly forecasting process utilizing internal sales tools.
• Collaborate with supply chain partners to integrate business planning processes for Club accounts.
• Communicate priorities, risks, and opportunities effectively with Commercial Planning stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and establish effective engagement schedules.
• Secure appropriate shelf space and optimal product placement according to national guidelines.
• Identify and act on new opportunities to enhance Club account presence.
• Lead joint business planning and regularly evaluate sales and profitability metrics.
• Analyze sales data to identify drivers of growth and inform category management strategies.
• Address retail-level stock issues in coordination with internal teams.
• Arrange additional display spaces aligned with promotional events.
• Manage collections from delinquent accounts.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Club partners.
• Undertake additional assignments and strategic projects as directed.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma or degree from college or university.
• At least 8 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development.
• Category management expertise is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proven ability to operate independently and proactively.
• Effective multitasker who can build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Organized with sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for customer visits and meetings.
• Physically capable of handling stock and loading/unloading items up to approximately 30 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $143,900 to $215,900 annually, with final pay based on experience, education, and qualifications.
