Our leadership team features veterans from leading tech and automotive firms including Tesla, Uber, and Meta, and we have successfully completed a Series A funding round, securing $100 million in equity and debt investment. We are rapidly expanding and actively seeking exceptional professionals to join our team dedicated to revolutionizing automotive retail.

Role Overview

The Director of Sales will be responsible for managing sales revenue performance in all active markets, overseeing both sales and sales development teams from initial engagement to contract closure and vehicle delivery. Reporting to the VP of Operations and collaborating closely with the COO and co-founder, you will set and uphold high standards for customer engagement, conversion, and retention while fostering a scalable, efficient sales organization. You will also develop comprehensive sales playbooks to support Ever’s growth trajectory as it expands nationwide.

  • Drive the sales funnel through all transaction phases with regular performance reviews.
  • Establish pricing strategies that protect margins while optimizing conversion.

  • Lead the sales development operations, including staffing, lead response times, routing, and appointment setting.
  • Maintain and enforce CRM hygiene and data accuracy.
  • Create scalable capacity models for the sales development team including workforce and tools.
  • Oversee the customer journey from initial interaction to final delivery, ensuring excellence at every step.
  • Develop and implement delivery process standards and resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate with the Business Office to ensure smooth titling and registration processes, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer feedback through NPS scores, reviews, and cancellation rates to improve experience quality.
  • Recruit, train, and retain sales leadership and front-line sales staff across multiple markets.
  • Manage performance through structured goal setting, coaching, and development plans.
  • Direct comprehensive sales training programs focusing on product knowledge, processes, and EV expertise.
  • Define and maintain career progression frameworks to support team growth.
  • Own CRM configuration and adoption and partner to replicate sales functions in new markets efficiently.
  • Develop and enforce reporting standards to analyze and improve sales metrics.
  • Work cross-departmentally to eliminate obstacles in sales and delivery workflows.

Qualifications

  • Over 8 years of advancement in sales leadership within automotive retail, ideally with EV-focused experience.
  • Proven experience managing multi-market sales teams achieving volumes above 200 units monthly.
  • Expertise leading BDC operations including team structure, SLAs, lead management, and CRM oversight.
  • Successful track record designing scalable delivery and customer service programs.
  • Strong proficiency with CRM solutions and leveraging data for coaching and process improvements.
  • Comfortable in dynamic, fast-growing startup environments, adept at building solid business foundations while driving execution.
  • Experience hiring and mentoring managerial personnel.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranging from $170,000 to $200,000 based on experience.
  • Performance bonuses linked to sales volume, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Equity participation opportunities.
  • 401k retirement plan.
