Job description

Overview

As part of the Planning, Performance Management, and System Economics department within the Africa Operating Unit, this role is critical in directing how resources are allocated to maximize sustainable value creation. The team drives end-to-end financial planning and analysis, resource allocation, and system economic strategies, delivering insights to support strategic and operational decisions across the system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine investment priorities, ensuring alignment of capital and operating spend with strategic goals and value objectives.
  • Evaluate and monitor return on investment (ROI) and return on invested capital (ROIC), continuously reallocating resources to high-impact opportunities and adjusting underperforming investments swiftly.
  • Maintain a dynamic and forward-looking perspective on business demands and resource availability to facilitate agile decision-making amid shifting priorities.
  • Manage a comprehensive resource governance framework together with senior leadership to guarantee decision clarity, transparency, and accountability regarding resource allocation.
  • Promote a culture emphasizing financial discipline and ROIC-driven choices throughout the organization via education and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with Africa Operating Unit policies, standards, and governance related to resource allocation.
  • Work closely with the Finance Hub to adopt and effectively utilize corporate systems and tools across the Africa Operating Unit to enhance planning, resource allocation, and performance management efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess at least 10 years of pertinent experience in areas such as Finance, FP&A, Strategy & Insights, or Performance Management.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects end-to-end with high quality, well-defined processes, and timely completion.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills evidenced by creating clear materials and engaging effectively across functions.
  • Strong project management expertise, coordinating multiple stakeholders and actively participating in project deliverables.
  • Experience in data modernization, automation, and performance reporting with an emphasis on maintaining data quality and usability.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of system economics, including financial relations with bottlers and key partners.

  • Annual incentive reference value is market competitive, targeting 30% performance-based incentive.
