Role Summary

The Director of Research position is pivotal, leading investment research, thematic development, and market intelligence initiatives at YXS Capital. Key Responsibilities

• Lead thematic research driving investment theses across sectors such as AI, energy, robotics, defense, and financial technology, identifying key trends, market turning points, and unique opportunities.
• Maintain comprehensive market intelligence, analyzing capital movements, valuation trends, and competitive scenarios to inform decisions with clear, well-organized insights.
• Support live investment opportunities with detailed industry analysis, competitor assessments, and independent investigations to strengthen investment conviction.
• Develop high-quality research reports and thought leadership content consistent with YXS Capital’s strategic positioning, ensuring clarity and analytical rigor.
• Create and uphold research frameworks and internal tools that standardize and elevate the quality of investment processes.
• Engage in cross-functional projects supporting strategic, operational, and internal initiatives aligned with company priorities.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses 6–10+ years of experience in equity research, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or similar analytical roles, preferably with exposure to technology sectors.
• Exhibits strong intellectual rigor, skilled at deconstructing complex challenges, synthesizing extensive information, and forming clear, independent viewpoints.
• Has profound interest and understanding of technology, macroeconomic trends, and market dynamics, with ability to connect broad trends to concrete investment prospects.
• Demonstrates outstanding verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate insights clearly and persuasively for decision-making.
• Self-motivated with a strong ownership mentality, comfortable forming and defending opinions in high-stakes environments.
