Director of Quality Assurance

Role Overview

The Director of Quality Assurance will steer the project’s quality framework, ensuring that design, engineering, procurement, and construction outputs align with the contract, relevant standards, and client expectations. This position provides senior-level leadership across all quality matters during the full project lifecycle and partners with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and the client to strengthen quality performance and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Build, implement, and keep current the Project Quality Management Plan so it reflects the contract and company requirements.
• Direct quality assurance efforts across the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, standards, and client expectations.
• Define quality objectives, KPIs, inspection and test plans, and quality control procedures for the project.
• Lead audits, inspections, quality assessments, and surveillance checks to confirm compliance.
• Handle non-conformance reports, corrective and preventive actions, and lessons learned to continuously improve outcomes.
• Work closely with Project Directors, discipline leaders, contractors, and client stakeholders to close quality gaps and reduce project risk.
• Assess and approve quality documents, method statements, inspection records, and related quality evidence.
• Track quality performance across the project and prepare regular updates for senior leadership and the client.
• Guide, coach, and manage the project quality team to ensure consistent standards across all disciplines.
• Represent the project in client quality discussions, external audits, and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or another relevant field is required.
• Professional credentials such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer are an added advantage.
• At least 15 years of quality assurance experience in large-scale engineering, construction, or multidisciplinary consultancy projects.
• At least 7 years of experience in a senior leadership role focused on project quality.
• Proven track record of handling complex, high-value projects in the UAE.
