The Director of MENA Public Policy, based in Dubai and reporting to the Head of Public Policy for Europe and MENA, will craft and lead engagement strategies with key policymakers and influential stakeholders throughout the MENA region. This role focuses on critical areas including gaming regulation, child safety, artificial intelligence governance, privacy, and consumer rights protection. The position is pivotal in shaping Roblox's presence and policy positioning in the region, ensuring compliance, managing public affairs, and fostering robust partnerships to benefit the global community of developers and users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with policymakers and political leaders across the MENA region.
• Track, analyze, and interpret policy issues relevant to Roblox within the MENA context.
• Create and implement public policy strategies aligned with Roblox's commercial objectives and regional priorities.
• Support the broader public policy team with ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Provide internal advisory on policy developments impacting product design and business operations.
• Convey Roblox’s public policy stances through comprehensive briefing documents and official consultation submissions.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Media, Technology, or closely related disciplines, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 10 years of demonstrated engagement with policymakers and stakeholders in the MENA region.
• Profound understanding of policymaking processes and public opinion dynamics specific to MENA.
• Strong background in intelligence gathering and analysis, strategic planning, project management, and cross-department collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.

Work Conditions and Inclusion

This role requires onsite presence in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional attendance on Monday and Friday.
