Director of Project Management

About the Role

This position represents a leadership opportunity to direct extensive project delivery initiatives within a dynamic digital and technology environment based in the United States. You will lead project management operations, enhance processes, and guide teams focused on delivering innovative solutions to clients. Combining strategic oversight, operational excellence, and ongoing collaboration with both clients and internal teams, this role is central to ensuring the successful execution of projects through effective planning, resource management, risk control, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct project management strategies and activities across multiple business portfolios to guarantee timely, budget-compliant, and client-aligned project completions.
• Track project progress meticulously including schedules, budgets, costs, resource allocation, and capacity to ensure project health.
• Identify potential risks in projects, recommend actionable solutions, and implement measures to maintain delivery success.
• Prepare and manage comprehensive project status reports covering budget analysis, cost tracking, variance assessment, expense approvals, and purchase order administration.
• Address and remove obstacles proactively to facilitate smooth product delivery.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Establish and enforce project management standards, best practices, templates, and continual operational improvements.
• Communicate project plans, risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and actions clearly across all organizational levels.
• Assess resource requirements and propose solutions that support project achievement.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a team of Project Managers to build a high-performance culture.
• Set team objectives, performance standards, and development plans while providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
• Promote a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven project management environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master’s degree required, preferably in Telecommunications or a closely related field.
• At least two years of experience in this role or similar project management leadership positions.
• Proven track record managing project management teams supporting software development products within client-facing consulting or professional services contexts.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills with product managers, engineering, design, development, and business units.
• Strong client-oriented approach with experience delivering solutions for external customers or third parties.
• Effective communication capabilities with clients, executives, and cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional ability to handle multiple demands, adapt to business changes, and steer projects to successful completion.
• In-depth understanding of project planning, risk mitigation, budgeting, resource management, and delivery methodology.
• Experience in developing scalable solutions for consumer-focused digital experiences.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in the sports sector is advantageous.
• Ability to work remotely during standard business hours—generally 9 AM to 6 PM EST.
