Role Summary

The Director of Project Management, Asia is a full-time remote leadership position focused on guiding the planning, execution, and successful completion of complex programs and projects throughout Asia. The role is responsible for leading project management teams, establishing standards and best practices, and keeping work aligned with business goals, schedules, and budgets. It involves close coordination with operations, finance, and senior leadership, while also mentoring project managers, maintaining reliable reporting and documentation, and using data to support strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the planning, delivery, and oversight of large-scale projects and programs across the Asian region.

  • Define and improve project management standards, workflows, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience leading, supporting, and developing distributed project teams.
  • Capability to improve processes and apply structured project management methods.
  • Significant experience in senior project or program management positions, ideally with regional or international scope.
  • Working knowledge of project management systems and collaboration tools.
  • Understanding of frameworks such as PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, or hybrid delivery approaches is helpful.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment in complex situations.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; knowledge of additional Asian languages is an advantage.
  • Comfort working in a remote, multicultural environment and across different time zones.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or certification such as PMP or PgMP is a plus.
