Role Overview

The Director of Procurement is pivotal in leading and scaling the company’s global sourcing and procurement across Asia and the United States. This strategic role involves shaping supplier strategies, managing manufacturing partnerships, ensuring excellence in quality and logistics, and conducting critical negotiations impacting company margins, product quality, and supply reliability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global sourcing strategy for cabinets, countertops, flooring, tile, and sinks.
  • Broaden and diversify the supplier network across Asian markets and North America.
  • Conduct factory audits, manage supplier performance through scorecards, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Enhance logistics efficiency, optimize lead times, and manage landed costs effectively.
  • Establish risk mitigation plans and strategies for supply redundancy.
  • Lead significant commercial negotiations and establish long-term supplier agreements.
  • Provide detailed executive reports and lead a sourcing team based in China.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Over 15 years of leadership experience in global procurement or sourcing.
  • Strong background in building materials and interior finishes.
  • Hands-on sourcing experience in China, Vietnam, Korea, Cambodia, or Thailand.
  • Proficient in factory sourcing, quality assurance systems, and logistics management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with expertise in supply chain risk management.
  • Financial savvy with experience in landed cost modeling.
