Role Overview

The Director of Procurement is responsible for directing and refining the comprehensive procurement strategy throughout the company’s operations. This role includes managing sourcing activities, subcontractor strategies, supplier relations, and procurement processes to guarantee competitive costs, dependable scheduling, and risk management across varied projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a strategic vision for Procurement Services aligned with overall business objectives and operational goals.
  • Lead efforts to standardize procurement processes and metrics across all divisions.
  • Manage enterprise-wide budget activities and supports operational functions.
  • Develop forecasting models for both short- and long-term planning to assist in resource allocation, scalability, and financial objectives.
  • Lead and mentor procurement teams to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
  • Promote procurement strategies enhancing vendor partnerships, purchasing efficiency, material management, risk reduction, and cost savings.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations leadership to enhance project planning, resource forecasting, and decision-making insight.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, Safety, Quality, and Technology departments to ensure operational goals align with company strategies.
  • Implement and enhance procurement-related systems and technologies, including CMiC and other operational platforms.
  • Establish scalable processes and organizational frameworks that support company growth while maintaining efficiency and consistency.
  • Plan staffing and succession strategies to guarantee adequate project service support across business units.
  • Encourage accountability for operational metrics and support continuous organizational improvements.
  • Advise executive leadership by providing insights and recommendations on operational efficiency, resource management, and procurement strategies.
  • Uphold and promote the Keeley Mission Statement and company values professionally.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of advancing procurement experience within the construction sector.
  • Proven expertise in managing subcontractor acquisition and fabrication sourcing.
  • Strong business acumen coupled with advanced contract negotiation skills.
  • Experience operating in a self-perform contractor environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ERP or procurement software such as CMiC, SAP, Oracle, Viewpoint, or equivalents.
  • Knowledge of both open-shop and union labor settings, including multi-state operational experience.
  • Experience supporting capital projects exceeding $50 million.
