About the Hospital

OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, a collaborative joint venture with Select Medical, is dedicated to delivering outstanding and compassionate care to patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, amputations, and multiple traumas.

Position Overview

The Director of Plant Operations (DPO) is a key member of the hospital leadership team who partners with the CEO to oversee facility operations including administrative and technical functions. The DPO serves as the hospital’s safety officer and supervises environmental services and security to maintain safe operational standards compliant with federal, state, and accrediting bodies.

The role encompasses management of maintenance and grounds upkeep, utility services, facility restoration and renovation, and overseeing new construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all administrative and technical activities within the plant operations department.
  • Manage and evaluate department personnel and activities.
  • Participate actively on hospital committees affecting the department, notably Safety and Infection Control Committees.
  • Develop and maintain a Quality Control Program.
  • Ensure compliance with Environment of Care and OSHA standards adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least three years of supervisory experience in hospital-based maintenance, environmental services, or related areas.
  • Familiarity with JCAHO and OSHA regulations and compliance standards is required.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $78,000 to $85,000.
