About the Role
Brightwater Executive is pleased to collaborate exclusively with a reputable national charity seeking to appoint a Director of People and Culture. This unique leadership position offers the chance to influence culture and strategy within a values-oriented organization committed for decades to delivering vital services to communities throughout Ireland.
Reporting directly to the CEO and participating in the Senior Management Team, this role is responsible for leading the comprehensive people strategy impacting a nationwide workforce. It encompasses talent management, cultural development, and human resource operations at a strategic level. The position offers a real opportunity to effect meaningful change enabling teams to provide person-centered services that transform lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a forward-thinking people strategy aligned with the organisation's core priorities.
- Lead initiatives across workforce planning, talent development, employee relations, and recruitment on a national scale.
- Manage HR functions including operations, employee relations, remuneration processes, and performance management.
- Foster and embed a diverse, inclusive, and values-driven culture across multiple site locations.
- Maintain robust HR governance ensuring full compliance with Irish employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive senior HR leadership background, preferably with experience collaborating alongside executive leadership.
- Proven expertise in workforce planning, managing employee relations, organizational development, and effecting cultural transformations.
- Experience within not-for-profit, public, or regulated sectors is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills, leveraging HR data and insights to guide strategic decisions.
- Possession of a third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or Organisational Development, with CIPD accreditation being highly desirable.
