Director of Operations & Maintenance

Overview

Piper Maddox is collaborating with a prominent company specializing in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) to recruit a Director of Operations & Maintenance. This role encompasses both formulating strategic directives and leading the daily operational activities across a range of RNG facilities, fostering overall enterprise growth and operational success.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and execute the overarching operations strategy by defining annual targets, setting performance benchmarks, and launching initiatives to enhance operational productivity, fiscal health, and sustainable growth.
• Build and mentor a robust leadership team by guiding department managers, promoting professional development, strategic planning, and a culture rooted in continual improvement.
• Manage financial outcomes with accountability for budget creation, forecasting, allocation of resources, and profit and loss oversight to maintain cost-effective, sustainable operations.
• Drive company expansion by nurturing client partnerships, scouting new business avenues, actively participating in commercial proposal development and contract negotiations, and working collaboratively with business development teams to broaden the project portfolio.

Required Qualifications

• Over ten years of leadership experience spanning operations management, maintenance oversight, and business development functions.
• Relevant industry expertise in RNG, biogas, landfill gas, gas processing, wastewater treatment, or comparable processing sectors.
• Proven track record in handling Operations & Maintenance (O&M) service agreements, cultivating customer relationships, and managing service-oriented business models.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to support onsite operational leadership, client engagement, and ensure uniform execution of operational standards across facilities.
