Arlo Hotels is an independent lifestyle hotel committed to creating memorable experiences that inspire guests to return. We are currently searching for an energetic Director of Operations who is passionate about people and purposeful leadership.
Role Summary
This role leads daily hotel operations and its team, supporting the General Manager in budget management, planning, organization, and overseeing services across front and back of house departments.

- Oversee daily operations of Front Office, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Security departments.
- Coordinate daily with Food & Beverage managers to ensure seamless, high-quality service.
- Direct, implement, and sustain service and management philosophies as standards for department heads and staff.
- Design and execute training programs to exceed operational and service standards.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop strategies maximizing service quality, revenue, and managing costs.
- Assist in budgeting efforts and maintain goals within budget limits.
- Manage the performance of departmental managers and supervisors to achieve high guest and employee satisfaction efficiently.
- Champion the hotel culture and team member engagement through leadership and development initiatives.
- Participate in safety committee leadership and security management activities.
- Support protection and enhancement of hotel assets via maintenance, security, housekeeping, and capital budgeting initiatives.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience as Director of Rooms, Director of Operations, or Assistant General Manager in hotel settings.
- Direct operational experience across departments such as Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Security/Loss Prevention, Engineering, and/or Food & Beverage.
- Proven success creating and applying service standards and procedures that increase guest and employee satisfaction.
- Experience managing third-party or leased spaces like food & beverage, valet, or security services.
- Strong financial skills to collaborate across departments to boost revenue and control expenses.
- Excellent professional and tactful communication with guests and staff.
- Must obtain Fire Safety Director license within 6 to 9 months of employment.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 annually.
