Director of Operations

Role Overview

Mountains of Hope, a premier healing and transformation sanctuary located near Medellín, Colombia, is searching for an outstanding Director of Operations. This is not just a standard management role but an opportunity to play a key part in creating one of the world's leading wellness and personal transformation destinations. The Director will partner closely with the CEO and Founder to deliver exceptional guest experiences and empower employees with effective leadership and accountability systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and nurture the entire campus operations team, fostering a culture of responsibility, ownership, and excellence.
• Ensure delivery of world-class guest services and oversee guest scheduling along with the guest advocacy team.
• Manage various operational departments, including hospitality, housekeeping, wellness services, food service, and property management.
• Collaborate effectively with medical and wellness staff to guarantee smooth and comprehensive guest care.
• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation across all facilities.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve operational systems, checklists, and standard procedures.
• Control purchasing, inventory, vendor relations, and operational expenses.
• Monitor staffing requirements, work schedules, overtime, and optimize operational efficiency.
• Partner with accounting for timely and accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Oversee property maintenance, gardens, landscaping, and ensure facility readiness.
• Lead recruitment efforts and employee development to retain exceptional talent.
• Respond promptly and effectively to operational or guest-related emergencies.
• Consistently enhance both guest and employee experiences through ongoing improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership and management expertise with excellent organizational skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities paired with high emotional intelligence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to lead by example, make independent decisions, and perform well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Legal authorization to work in Colombia or eligibility to obtain a work visa (support provided for visa acquisition).
• Preferred background includes luxury hospitality, boutique hotels/resorts, wellness retreats, health optimization, integrative medicine, biohacking, team and executive operations, and customer experience leadership.
• A genuine passion for personal growth, healing, mindfulness, or transformational work is highly valued.
