About the Role
Vulcan Capital is looking for a strategic and seasoned Director of Operations to lead operational excellence across the organization. This pivotal position collaborates with executive leaders and various teams to establish scalable processes, drive organizational efficiency, manage critical initiatives, and ensure operational priorities align with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute operational strategies aligned with company growth and organizational goals.
- Create scalable workflows, systems, and processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
- Convert executive priorities into clear action plans, timelines, and trackable results.
- Spot operational inefficiencies and spearhead continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with senior leaders from finance, investments, technology, legal, HR, and business operations.
- Lead strategic projects end to end, ensuring alignment, accountability, and successful outcomes.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among distributed teams.
- Manage day-to-day operational activities ensuring smooth execution across departments.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics, reporting structures, and operational dashboards.
- Analyze data to inform decision-making processes.
- Oversee vendor partnerships, budget management, and resource allocation as required.
- Deliver operational insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and strategic communications.
- Support organizational planning, priority setting, and change management initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, finance, or a related discipline.
- More than 8 years of experience in operations leadership, strategy, consulting, or similar roles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and handle complex projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting executive teams within investment, technology, private equity, venture capital, or professional services sectors.
- Background in developing operational infrastructures for scaling organizations.
- Proven expertise in project management and process improvement.
- Knowledge of financial reporting, business analytics, and operational planning.
