Job description

Company Overview

Valor Brands & Ventures is expanding and invests in, builds, and grows consumer and service businesses. The organization values disciplined execution, strong financial outcomes, and practical systems that improve efficiency and customer experience. Team members work across functions to support portfolio brands, refine internal workflows, and apply proven operating practices. The culture is energetic, fast-moving, and entrepreneurial, with room to shape strategy, strengthen processes, and support long-term growth.

Role Summary

The Director of Operations will lead daily operations across the company’s portfolio and make sure execution stays aligned with business and financial goals. This fully remote, full-time role is responsible for designing, rolling out, and improving operating processes such as resource planning, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement programs. The position works closely with operations, finance, marketing, and customer-facing teams to set priorities, build accountability, and keep cross-functional efforts moving in the same direction.

Key Responsibilities

You will oversee operational performance, manage budgets and costs, review data to identify opportunities, and recommend actions that improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. The role also includes creating and maintaining operating policies, supporting the adoption of systems and technology, and preparing regular updates and recommendations for senior leadership.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings strong operations leadership experience, with a background in process design, workflow improvement, and performance tracking. You should be comfortable turning data into practical insights, building reports or dashboards, and using evidence to guide decisions. Experience leading teams is important, including coaching, performance management, and creating a supportive, inclusive environment. A solid foundation in budgeting and financial planning is needed, along with experience managing operating expenses and contributing to forecasts. A strong customer-first mindset is also important, especially experience improving service levels, responsiveness, and overall customer experience. Candidates with experience in multi-brand, portfolio, or high-growth environments will be especially well suited. Because this role is remote, strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related area is required. An advanced degree or relevant certifications such as PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma would be an added advantage.
