Director of Operations

Overview

We are recruiting a results-oriented Director of Operations to lead strategic execution for a federal contractor specializing in military projects globally. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will supervise multiple project leaders and teams across sizable programs and regions, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision as well as client satisfaction and performance objectives. This position offers advancement potential to COO of Pacific operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate extensive programs or regional operations to maximize performance and execution.
• Manage Project Executives by establishing performance metrics and ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
• Maintain and strengthen crucial client relationships, serving as the principal senior contact.
• Work collaboratively with Proposals, Estimating, and Business Development to support winning bids.
• Evaluate market competition, analyze trade partner capabilities, and develop effective capture strategies.
• Achieve financial goals while promoting team excellence and gathering client feedback.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in program management within U.S. Federal Government contracting.
• Experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is required.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Proficient user of MS Office Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Preparedness for frequent and prolonged travel.
