Role overview
The Director of Operational Excellence at Cubo Itaú Uruguay is a full-time remote leadership role focused on improving efficiency, quality, and overall organizational performance. The position is responsible for shaping, rolling out, and continuously refining business processes while partnering with teams across the company to spot improvement opportunities, establish clear standards, and maintain reliable execution.
Key responsibilities
This role involves building operational excellence frameworks, tracking key performance indicators, and using data to guide decisions that support business strategy. The Director will also lead workshops, coach team members on best practices, and work with senior leaders to prioritize and deliver process-improvement initiatives that contribute to long-term growth and better customer outcomes.
Qualifications
- A strong track record in operational excellence and business process improvement, including leading company-wide initiatives.
- Hands-on knowledge of process improvement methods and analytical problem-solving for identifying root causes, comparing solutions, and evaluating results.
- Experience in strategic planning, especially connecting operational programs to long-term business goals and change efforts.
- Professional experience in financial services, technology, or a similar industry is considered a strong plus.
- Comfort working remotely with cross-functional and multicultural teams, along with solid stakeholder management ability.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills, including the ability to coach teams and influence senior decision-makers.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable continuous improvement frameworks is an advantage.
