MCSI is a student-led nonprofit finance society focused on enhancing financial literacy, investment education, and career readiness among students. Role Overview
The Director of Marketing & Communications holds a leadership role charged with designing and implementing MCSI's marketing, branding, and communication strategies. This position is dedicated to raising organizational visibility, enhancing digital platforms, and fostering engagement with students, partners, and finance professionals. The Director will lead efforts in digital marketing, promotional campaigns, brand consistency, and collaborate with leadership to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication plans.
- Oversee MCSI's presence on digital platforms, including LinkedIn and other social media channels.
- Create high-quality marketing collateral, announcements, and promotional campaigns.
- Maintain uniform branding across all organizational communications.
- Support recruitment drives to boost student participation and membership.
- Work with executive leadership and committees to market events, workshops, and other initiatives.
- Participate in partnership and sponsorship outreach through strategic communication.
- Analyze engagement metrics to refine marketing strategies.
- Research trends related to student engagement, finance education, and digital marketing.
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategies to amplify MCSI’s public profile.
Candidate Qualifications
- Strong interest in marketing, communications, branding, and organizational development.
- Experience in crafting marketing strategies, orchestrating campaigns, or driving brand initiatives.
- Proficiency managing social media channels and digital communities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with versatile content creation skills.
- Knowledge of digital marketing principles, audience engagement tactics, and analytics.
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and LinkedIn analytics is preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management competence to juggle multiple projects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a student-led leadership environment.
- Previous leadership roles in clubs, organizations, startups, nonprofits, or professional settings is an advantage.
