Role Overview
Go Maverick Group is representing a family-owned client made up of four related brands that operate across Northeast Ohio. Their businesses span landscape design, construction, property management, outdoor living, material supply, and commercial snow and ice management. As the company grows into its next phase, they are looking for a forward-thinking Director of Marketing & Brand Growth to establish and lead the marketing function across the organization.
This is a newly created senior leadership position with the chance to define brand direction, accelerate customer acquisition, improve visibility in the market, and build a marketing system that can support long-term growth. The right person will combine big-picture thinking with practical execution and use data to drive measurable outcomes.
Partnering closely with the leadership team, this person will design the overall marketing ecosystem, launch effective campaigns, sharpen brand positioning, attract qualified leads, and deepen customer engagement across all brands.
Marketing Strategy & Growth Leadership
- Create and lead marketing strategies for four landscape-related businesses to support growth, new customer acquisition, and stronger brand awareness.
- Develop yearly marketing plans, budgets, performance targets, and growth initiatives that align with business priorities.
- Work with ownership and leaders to uncover opportunities for expansion, customer growth, and additional revenue.
- Track industry movements, competitor actions, and new technologies to keep the brands relevant and competitive.
- Define KPIs and deliver regular reporting on campaign performance, lead quality, conversion results, and ROI.
Demand Generation & Digital Marketing
- Own the acquisition approach across both digital and traditional channels.
- Design and refine lead generation efforts using paid search, paid social, email, local SEO, referral programs, and content marketing.
- Build funnels and customer paths that turn prospects into qualified sales leads.
- Review campaign data and customer behavior to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and engagement over time.
Brand Strategy & Market Positioning
- Maintain a consistent brand experience across every customer touchpoint.
- Grow awareness through storytelling, community involvement, public relations, sponsorships, partnerships, trade shows, and local events.
- Protect each brand’s reputation while finding ways to differentiate and expand market presence.
Content & Customer Engagement
- Build and guide content strategies that communicate each brand’s story through customer-centered messaging.
- Direct social media planning, editorial calendars, and audience engagement across channels.
- Oversee marketing assets such as photos, videos, customer testimonials, project features, blog content, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Keep the brand voice consistent while clearly communicating the value of each business.
Website Management
- Lead website strategy, content, functionality, user experience, and continuous improvement across all company sites.
- Handle SEO, landing page development, website analytics, and conversion-focused optimization efforts.
- Ensure the websites accurately reflect services, capabilities, and brand standards.
Marketing Operations & Vendor Management
- Manage outside partners including agencies, web developers, photographers, videographers, media partners, and other vendors.
- Assess marketing tools, software, and automation platforms that can improve efficiency and results.
- Introduce scalable processes that will support future growth.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of progressive marketing experience with proven success in digital marketing, brand management, and lead generation.
- Experience handling multiple brands, service lines, or business units.
- Strong working knowledge of digital channels, content planning, SEO, social media, paid media, and lead generation.
- Ability to develop an overall marketing strategy that guides multiple initiatives.
- Comfortable tracking, analyzing, and interpreting marketing metrics.
- Excellent communication, project coordination, and organizational abilities.
- An entrepreneurial approach with the ability to balance strategy and hands-on execution.
- Experience using CRM systems and marketing automation tools.
- Confidence managing budgets and external partners.
- Experience in landscaping, home services, construction, or a similar field is helpful but not required.
- Basic skills in graphic design, photography, or video production are a plus.
