Role Overview
The Director of Marketing leads the overall vision, strategy, and implementation of marketing efforts for Sally's Apizza, aiming to enhance brand presence, customer engagement, and revenue growth across all operations. This leadership role ensures cohesive representation of the brand's heritage and culture while working closely with various internal departments to support performance and protect profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executive leadership to unify brand messaging and guide strategic decisions aligned with company objectives.
- Develop and enforce a multi-year marketing strategy that boosts awareness, customer acquisition, retention, and revenue.
- Manage brand standards including tone, messaging, and visual identity to keep consistency across markets.
- Identify new market opportunities through competitive analysis and consumer insights.
- Coordinate marketing budgets with finance and operations and drive campaigns to improve traffic during slow periods.
- Manage marketing efforts for new restaurant openings, including events, influencer partnerships, and merchandising.
- Oversee digital marketing channels such as SEO, paid media, email campaigns, social media, and marketing automation for maximum ROI.
- Plan and execute event marketing, partnerships, and public relations to increase brand reach and engagement.
- Analyze guest data and feedback to optimize loyalty programs and customer experiences both on-site and off-premise.
- Lead and develop the marketing team with clearly defined goals, succession plans, and a collaborative culture.
- Handle detailed financial monitoring of marketing budgets, costs, and campaign impacts with strategic reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, culinary, and training teams to reinforce core brand values and support restaurant performance.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7–10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, ideally within the restaurant or hospitality sector.
- Experience with multi-unit brand growth and proven ability to drive measurable revenue and brand expansion.
- Strong digital marketing expertise including CRM, SEO/SEM, and marketing automation tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Adobe Suite, and analytics/reporting platforms.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage executive leadership.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluency in English required; Spanish language skills preferred but optional.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field is mandatory.
