Role overview
The Doyle Collection is hiring a Director of Marketing for a maternity cover contract to steer the marketing direction for The River Lee, a modern Cork hotel focused on strengthening its position in the premium leisure market. Working closely with the General Manager and Chief Marketing Officer, you will shape a strong brand story and support commercial growth across rooms, food and beverage, and meetings and events.
What you will do
- Set and deliver the overall marketing plan for The River Lee with a focus on increasing revenue across all business areas.
- Oversee the daily marketing operation and guide the Marketing Executive.
- Build and run integrated campaigns that reflect The Doyle Collection brand approach.
- Establish marketing KPIs, monitor performance, and turn results into useful commercial insight.
- Partner with the General Manager and wider commercial teams to keep marketing aligned with revenue targets.
- Manage social channels so content stays consistent, engaging, and aligned with the brand.
- Direct content development across photography, video, and design.
- Handle agency relationships for PR activity across Ireland, Europe, and the United States.
- Work with central digital specialists to improve the website, SEO, and paid media results.
- Spot and develop partnerships and collaborations that raise brand awareness.
- Support the hotel’s move further into the high-end leisure segment.
- Help enhance and evolve the long-term brand identity of The River Lee.
What we are looking for
- Background in a senior marketing position, ideally within hospitality or lifestyle-focused brands.
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to influence revenue through marketing activity.
- Hands-on experience delivering multi-channel integrated campaigns.
- Confident at building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Genuine interest in brand building, storytelling, and creating excellent guest experiences.
