The chosen candidate will be instrumental in uncovering new market prospects, overseeing acquisition processes from inception through integration, and collaborating closely with top executives to influence key business priorities and decision-making.
This role offers a platform to architect growth strategies, establish scalable operational models, and deliver ongoing business value—ideal for a strategic professional who flourishes in complex business environments and turns strategic concepts into tangible results.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of M&A strategy: conducting market analysis, identifying and developing opportunity pipelines, performing due diligence, and managing transactions.
- Create comprehensive market maps and acquisition rationales across target industries and emerging sectors.
- Assess potential acquisitions by studying market dynamics, strategic alignment, financial viability, and operational factors.
- Oversee the full M&A lifecycle including sourcing, evaluation, diligence, negotiations, deal closure, and integration planning.
- Facilitate leadership review sessions, coordinate diligence efforts, and manage communication between stakeholders and external partners.
- Represent the company at industry forums to foster relationships and discover strategic opportunities.
- Continuously refine M&A execution frameworks, processes, and best practices to support sustained growth.
- Direct post-merger integration initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional groups to ensure effective transitions and value realization.
- Develop integration playbooks adaptable to various acquisition approaches including standalone or integrated business acquisitions and new market ventures.
- Manage strategic corporate projects focused on business transformation, operational improvements, technology investments, and revenue generation.
- Collaborate with executive sponsors to formulate business cases, define financial targets, set project timelines, milestones, and success indicators.
- Deliver periodic reports and updates to leadership teams addressing progress, risks, and business outcomes.
- Support development of new growth initiatives and expansion into adjacent markets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related disciplines; advanced degrees are desirable.
- Extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, or comparable strategic roles.
- Demonstrated expertise managing acquisition processes including market research, valuation, diligence, negotiation, and integration planning.
- Preferably experienced in software, technology, or other fast-growing sectors.
- Proven capability to build acquisition pipelines and identify strategic expansion opportunities.
- Track record of leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives with clear business benefits.
- Strong financial analytical skills for preparing business cases and evaluating investments.
- Excellent project management proficiency with ability to oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Powerful communication and influencing abilities with senior leadership.
- Comfortable operating autonomously in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings.
- Strategic mindset combined with strong analytical aptitude and a hands-on approach to delivering results.
- Effective relationship builder collaborating successfully across diverse teams.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive annual base salary ranging from $112,500 to $137,500, commensurate with experience, expertise, and location.
- Eligibility for participation in a company profit-sharing bonus program.
- Inclusive benefits package covering medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Basic life insurance along with short- and long-term disability coverage.
- 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
- A minimum of 10 vacation days allotted to new employees.
- Sick leave provided according to state-specific regulations.
- Eight company-paid holidays plus two personal holidays each year.
- Fully remote role within the United States.
- Opportunity to influence company growth trajectory through leadership of significant initiatives.
- Collaborative environment offering direct interaction with senior leadership and strategic planning.
