About the Role

A prominent Food & Beverage Manufacturer is seeking a Director of Logistics to oversee transportation, warehousing, and supply chain activities within a complex manufacturing environment. This leadership position plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational effectiveness, advancing logistics performance, and formulating strategic initiatives that propel business expansion while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of transportation, warehousing, and overall logistics functions.
• Design and implement supply chain and distribution strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead initiatives focused on reducing costs and fostering continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
• Optimize inventory movement and enhance distribution efficiency.
• Build, lead, and mentor a skilled logistics team to achieve performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote operational excellence across all sites.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, planning, procurement, and customer service departments to ensure seamless operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of five years in leadership roles within logistics and supply chain management, specifically in food and beverage manufacturing.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Experience overseeing logistics across multiple manufacturing or distribution sites.
• Proven ability to implement operational improvements and achieve cost reductions.
• Strong leadership capabilities coupled with effective stakeholder engagement skills.
