Overview
This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner company based in the United States seeking a Director of IT. This leadership role involves guiding enterprise technology operations in a fast-growing, remote-first organization with a focus on strategic vision and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and management of IT Operations and Engineering including identity, endpoint management, infrastructure, collaboration platforms, and employee tech services.
- Create and update a technical roadmap enhancing IT performance insight, risk management, investment planning, and future capabilities.
- Build, mentor, and expand a high-performing IT team that emphasizes automation, continuous improvement, and engineering best practices.
- Define and uphold high service standards, operational models, and processes to improve employee experience, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure technology meets compliance, safety, and risk management requirements.
- Identify and deploy AI-driven tools and automation to boost productivity and streamline internal workflows.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, procurement, and budgeting alongside finance partners.
- Serve as an executive escalation contact for major incidents, migrations, and critical business technology initiatives.
Requirements
- A minimum of 15 years in IT with 7-8 years leading multiple teams or enterprise-wide technology departments.
- Proven expertise in modern IT infrastructure: identity and access management, endpoint management, cloud collaboration platforms, and enterprise networking.
- Experience integrating AI and automation into IT operations and productivity workflows.
- Ability to work closely with security and compliance units with a focus on safety-first approaches.
- Proficient in managing IT budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement processes.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical groups.
- Background in global, high-growth, remote-first, or rapidly scaling business environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or comparable professional experience.
- Preferred familiarity with cloud-based technologies, identity platforms, device management, and SaaS collaboration tools.
- Hands-on experience developing AI-powered workflows and automation that deliver tangible business improvements is advantageous.
