About the Role
Lauth Investigations International is an Indianapolis-based investigative firm serving individuals and organizations around the world. The company is seeking an executive-level leader to guide its Investigations Division through its next phase of expansion.
Why Indianapolis
This position is not a fully remote, location-independent role. It is centered in Indianapolis, where the company’s operations are based. The ideal candidate will be based in the area or prepared to relocate to Central Indiana to lead locally and become part of the regional business community.
Role Overview
As Director of Investigations, you will serve as the main point of contact for investigative and operational leadership across the division. The role involves directing a team of private investigators, managing everyday operations, and overseeing criminal, civil, and proprietary casework.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigative staff, handle new case intake, and supervise 1099 investigators.
- Oversee division budgets, monitor case-level profitability, and help improve margins.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences and networking events across Indiana and other locations.
- Support business growth by managing marketing efforts and using CRM and AI tools to grow the client base.
Who You Are
- You are a local Indianapolis-area professional, or you are willing to relocate to the city.
- You are comfortable driving change and staying current with modern investigative methods and technology.
- You communicate well in sensitive situations and can build strong professional relationships.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from a US-accredited institution is required; an MBA is considered an advantage.
- At least 5 years of prior law enforcement experience, preferably at commander level, or substantial leadership experience in the corporate sector.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in investigations and surveillance.
- Demonstrated skill in managing budgets, labor KPIs, and operating margins.
- A valid driver’s license is required, along with availability to be on call around the clock and travel extensively as needed.
