Job description
Role Overview
HOTWORX is hiring a full-time exempt leader to run its in-house Media Studio focused entirely on franchise development. The purpose of this role is to create a high-impact content engine that attracts qualified franchise prospects, elevates the brand, and steadily lowers the long-term cost of acquiring franchise owners.
The selected candidate will own planning, production, distribution, and performance analysis for all franchise development media. This person will work closely with the Founder & CEO, the Franchise Development team, Marketing, and Information Technology to communicate the HOTWORX story through compelling digital content.
The Media Studio is intended to reduce reliance on outside creative agencies by serving as an internal production hub that consistently informs, inspires, and converts prospective franchise owners through authentic storytelling and modern media.
Mission
Build and operate the HOTWORX Media Studio as a leading franchise recruitment content program in the industry. The goal is to produce standout media that positions HOTWORX as a highly innovative, technology-forward fitness franchise while improving lead quality, franchise conversions, brand visibility, and recruitment efficiency over time.
Core Focus Areas
Founder brand development: Partner with the Founder & CEO to shape and execute a personal brand strategy that establishes him as a recognized voice in franchising, entrepreneurship, innovation, and the future of fitness.
Franchisee success stories: Build an ongoing pipeline of genuine owner stories that showcase financial gains, operational wins, and personal achievements.
Grand opening media: Produce launch coverage and promotional assets for new studio openings.
CEO podcast production: Manage the monthly HOTWORX CEO Podcast from planning through publishing and promotion.
Franchise recruitment content: Create educational content that helps prospects understand ownership, technology, growth markets, and the HOTWORX opportunity.
AI-assisted media: Use artificial intelligence tools to speed up content production while protecting brand quality and consistency.
Summits and webinars: Support recurring quarterly PE-Lender/Multi-Unit Empire Builder summits and webinars from setup through repurposing.
Social media leadership: Oversee franchise recruitment content across major social platforms with consistent branding and messaging.
Media studio operations: Run the studio like an internal creative agency, including calendars, scheduling, assets, vendors, equipment, and workflow improvement.
Performance Measures
Success in this role will be evaluated using results such as qualified franchise leads, cost per lead, cost per sale, engagement, video views, watch time, podcast downloads, webinar attendance, website traffic, email list growth, RFIC growth, Orientation Day attendance, and the number of franchise agreements influenced by media efforts.
Schedule and Work Expectations
Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm CST. Some projects and events may require extended hours, including early starts and late stays during the workweek. Attendance at additional company events, including annual conventions, may also be required.
Compensation and Benefits
The role includes a base annual salary of $90,000 plus commission opportunities tied to deal volume and transfer closings. Commission payouts are structured as follows: $1,000 for 12 new deals sold in a calendar month or $500 for 3 transfers closed in a calendar month; $2,000 for 14 new deals sold in a calendar month or $750 for 5 transfers closed in a calendar month; and $3,000 for 17 new deals sold in a calendar month or $1,000 for 7 transfers closed in a calendar month.
Benefits include 80% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for the employee, 401(k) opportunities, eligibility for Colonial Life opportunities, flexible time off after 60 days of employment, and a corporate membership to HOTWORX and SOL SPA.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Film Production, Digital Media, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent professional experience may be considered. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience in digital marketing, brand storytelling, media production, or content strategy, along with strong capabilities in video production, editing, photography, social media, writing, interviewing, podcasting, webinar production, and multi-platform campaign management. Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools and workflow automation is important, and the person should be highly organized, able to manage several projects at once, and willing to travel for interviews, conventions, grand openings, and corporate events.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The best fit for this position is a versatile creative professional who combines storytelling, filmmaking, journalism, marketing, production, and strategy. This person should be passionate about fitness and innovation, excited by emerging technology, and committed to creating media that strengthens the brand while moving prospective franchisees closer to ownership.
Location
This is an onsite position based in Marrero, Louisiana.
