Position Overview
FläktGroup SEMCO North America is seeking a senior finance leader to own and advance the company’s financial planning and analysis capability. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for shaping forecasting, performance management, and strategic analysis so leadership can make clear, data-backed decisions and support long-term growth.
The role acts as the organization’s financial insight center, turning business strategy into measurable financial plans and outcomes across the Integrated Climate Solutions (ICS) and Data Centers businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Forecasting
- Direct the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasting cycle, and long-range strategic planning process.
- Build and maintain forecasting models that give reliable visibility into revenue, profitability, and cash flow.
- Set up strong forecasting routines and reporting timelines across the business.
- Work closely with business leaders to ensure forecasts reflect commercial and operational realities.
Business Performance and Profitability Analysis
- Create and manage profitability reporting at the business-unit and product-line level.
- Review revenue trends, margin performance, operating expenses, and other key financial drivers.
- Spot opportunities to strengthen profitability, pricing performance, and allocation of resources.
- Provide practical financial insights that support decision-making.
Executive, Board, and Global Reporting
- Prepare financial updates and performance presentations for the board.
- Own planning and reporting deliverables for FläktGroup global leadership.
- Perform variance analysis and explain business performance in a clear, concise manner.
- Support senior leadership with strategic analysis and decision materials.
Strategic Finance and Decision Support
- Lead financial modeling, scenario analysis, and investment evaluation work.
- Support decisions related to pricing, capital expenditures, expansion, site selection, and portfolio changes.
- Create KPI frameworks that connect operational results to financial outcomes.
- Recommend actions based on financial and operational analysis.
Financial Governance and Process Excellence
- Set standards, controls, and governance practices for planning and reporting.
- Partner with accounting and operations to improve data quality and reporting consistency.
- Identify business risks and opportunities early and communicate them proactively.
- Maintain a single reliable source of truth for financial reporting and decision support.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a trusted finance advisor to leaders across the organization.
- Help align sales, operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance teams.
- Shape decisions through data-driven insight and effective communication.
- Contribute to a strong finance culture centered on partnership and accountability.
Qualifications
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field is required.
- An MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
Experience and Technical Background
- At least 8 years of progressive FP&A experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineered products environments.
- Proven ability to build or transform FP&A functions and planning processes.
- Experience supporting more than one business unit or P&L.
- Strong capability in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytics.
- Experience creating executive and board-level reporting.
- ERP system experience, such as Epicor or a similar platform, is required.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems proficiency are required.
