Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and Finance Operations

About the Role

A dynamic and expanding SaaS company is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to spearhead financial planning, analysis, and operational finance functions. Reporting directly to the CFO, this pivotal position collaborates closely with senior leadership to support key business decisions while managing outsourced accounting services and leading finance-driven automation initiatives including AI integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive FP&A operations such as budgeting, forecasting, financial plans, and reporting.
• Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics to guide operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders on strategic priorities including pricing strategies, capital investments, and mergers & acquisitions.
• Manage outsourced finance services encompassing month-end close processes, accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, and enforcing financial controls.
• Champion finance function innovation through workflow automation, artificial intelligence adoption, and ongoing process improvements.
• Ensure audit readiness, maintain compliance, and drive continuous finance organization enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar discipline; possession of MBA or CPA credentials is highly desirable.
• Minimum of ten years of ascending leadership roles in finance, demonstrating strong FP&A expertise within SaaS or subscription-based businesses.
• Track record of successfully implementing finance transformation projects including automation and AI applications.
• Superior analytical capabilities complemented by excellent communication and presentation skills tailored for executive audiences.
