Drawing inspiration from Najdi heritage and Raffles’ classic elegance, the property aims to set a benchmark for warm hospitality, cultural appreciation, and memorable service.

At Raffles Diriyah, people are central to the experience. The team sees itself as a guardian of culture, a steward of community, and a creator of meaningful guest moments. Guests are expected to arrive as visitors, leave as friends, and return as family.

The Director of Finance will establish and lead the finance function for the hotel and residences, ensuring that all activities align with company policies and applicable local regulations. This role is responsible for financial planning, budget oversight, reporting, analysis, and compliance, while also supporting strategic decisions and day-to-day operations.

  • Set short- and long-term departmental goals, policies, procedures, and operating practices.
  • Maintain an effective team structure and staffing model to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Act as the main liaison for legislative matters related to the company’s financial affairs.
  • Lead financial audits and recommend process improvements where needed.
  • Regularly review purchasing, receiving, storage, issuing, food preparation, and portion-control procedures.

Team Management

  • Interview, choose, and hire direct team members.
  • Identify employees with growth potential and support their development.
  • Carry out performance reviews and address performance-related issues within the management team.
  • Continuously assess team performance, attitude, and professionalism.
  • Partner with Talent & Culture to support hiring, training, coaching, counselling, motivation, and development based on business needs.
  • Hold monthly department meetings to share information, gather feedback, resolve issues, and keep communication flowing.

Other Duties and Standards

  • Attend all briefings, meetings, and training sessions assigned by management.
  • Maintain a consistently high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
  • Stay informed about hotel fire, life-safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. A CPA certification would be considered an added advantage. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role, or 2 years in a comparable capacity. Strong business judgment, a high level of professionalism, and excellent written, spoken, and reading English are required. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant accounting and financial reporting systems is also expected. The candidate must have a solid grasp of accounting principles and financial regulatory standards.
