Role overview

Replicant is looking for a Director of Finance to act as the CFO’s key partner and own FP&A across the business. This person will turn financial analysis into decisions that influence company growth, work directly with the CFO, and collaborate with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Product. The role is centered on building the finance engine for a fast-scaling AI company.

What you will do

• Take full ownership of FP&A, including company-wide forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling to support strategy and fundraising preparation.
• Provide financial input on major business choices such as product launches, pricing, merger and acquisition reviews, and international or geographic expansion.
• Act as a strategic finance partner to executives and department heads on growth, operating efficiency, and capital deployment.
• Define, track, and interpret key business metrics such as gross margin, LTV/CAC, cash runway, and net revenue retention, while flagging risks and upside early.
• Prepare and manage monthly and quarterly reporting materials for senior leadership and the board, with clear explanations of performance and underlying drivers.
• Improve finance systems and workflows so they are more automated, accurate, and scalable as the company grows.

What you bring

• At least 8 years of progressive finance experience, with strong depth in FP&A and strategic finance.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and SaaS business metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to build financial models and translate complex data into practical guidance for senior stakeholders.
• Interest in and comfort using AI within FP&A work.
• Proven success working across functions and influencing decisions at all levels of an organization.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, including confidence with executive and board-level audiences.
• High accountability and adaptability.

Bonus qualifications

• Prior experience in a high-growth SaaS or AI company.
• Background in leading or mentoring a small team.
• MBA, CFA, or CPA qualification.
